Les satellites de Thales ont besoin de systèmes de déploiement légers, fiables et compacts. Les rubans ont une géométrie simple mais leur comportement reste néanmoins complexe à modéliser. De manière pratique, les rubans sont sollicités en flexion lorsque les équipements qu’ils portent sont pliés dans le compartiment du satellite. Dans ce contexte, les chercheurs du LMA portent un intérêt particulier aux propriétés des rubans déployables depuis déjà plusieurs années. Aussi ont-ils développé un modèle de poutre à section flexible et résolu par éléments finis pour prédire le comportement en flexion des mètre-rubans. Afin de valider ce modèle, il est nécessaire de fabriquer des rubans pour valider les résultats numériques avec des résultats expérimentaux.
Cahier des charges : Ruban à tester sur un banc de flexion avec rotation imposées et mesure du couple au point A. Un rayon de ruban de 50 mm, un moment maximal de 60 N.m, et on se propose de faire varier 4 paramètres : Longeur, angle de courbure, nombre de plis et orientation des plis.
